Say Howdy to the American Pies!

America: land of the free, home of the brave, and birthplace of things that are just so American. Whether it’s food, fashion, or football (the one with helmets, certainly not our football), there’s something about the U.S. that’s all about going big or going home! In honour of the glorious return of our whacky pies inspired by the U.S., we Googled the “most American things ever” and here are some of the things that were thrown back at us.

So, let's pay homage to all things red, white, and blue, and buckle up for the 5 most American things ever.

1. Apple Pie 🍎

How very appropriate!! “American as apple pie,” they say. Despite the apple pie originating on our turf, the American’s have claimed it and made it their own! That’s why we’ve taken the opportunity to bake our truly scrumptious apple and salted caramel pie again to accompany the savoury creations in our all-American collection!

2. Drive-Thru Everything 🚗

If there’s one thing Americans have perfected, it’s convenience. And nothing says "convenience" like a drive-thru, where you can grab a meal, coffee, prescriptions, and even a wedding (seriously!) - all without leaving the comfort of your car.

3. Deep-Fried Everything

If it can be deep-fried, Americans have probably tried it. Pickles? Check. Ice cream? Yep. Butter? Oh, absolutely. At fairs and carnivals in the U.S., deep-frying isn’t just a cooking method - it’s an art form. Nothing is too sacred to escape the fryer’s golden embrace. Certainly not the healthiest habit, but we are talking about America, here!

4. Cowboy Culture 🤠

No other country does cowboy culture quite like the U.S. From rodeos to country music festivals, the cowboy is an enduring symbol of rugged individualism and adventure - plus, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to rock a cowboy hat?!

5. The American Dream 🇺🇸

Perhaps the most American thing of all isn’t an object or a food, but an idea: Dream Big or Go Home. Sure, sometimes the dream involves a mansion and a yacht, and sometimes it just means getting a slice of that apple pie, but the core idea remains the same - the pursuit of happiness is as American as it gets.

We like to think that our outrageous new limited-edition pie collection embodies that American spirit! What says happiness more than chowing down on a great big Cheeseburger Pie?! With the Mac & Cheese pie and Steak & Cheese pie also coming back, we have a hard time picking our favourite when they all come up for tasting! The collection wouldn’t be complete without our Big Apple Pie, stuffed with chunks of apple and caramel apple yumminess.
