Four More Gongs To Add To The Tally! 🏆

There's no better feeling than hearing your food has impressed people who know their stuff.

That's why we're absolutely buzzing to share that both Chunk Original and Chunk Gluten Free picked up awards at the 2026 Great Taste Awards!

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are the world's largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme.

Every product is judged completely blind by panels of chefs, buyers, food writers and industry experts. No branding, the food does the talking!

That's why these awards mean so much to us! This year, four of our bakes came away with stars...

⭐ Chunk Original Chicken, Leek & Bacon Pie

A proper comfort food classic...

Tender British chicken (a mix of breast for texture and thigh for flavour), smoked bacon and fresh leeks, all folded into a creamy sauce and wrapped in our Original shortcrust pastry!

Simple, hearty and now officially Great Taste approved for the second year running!!

⭐⭐ Chunk Original Steak & Red Wine Pie

This pie only appeared for a short time earlier this year... but it's making a comeback soon.

Packed with succulent British steak and whole baby onions, slow cooked in a rich gravy made with fruity red wine from Christopher Piper Wines, it's full of blackcurrant and red berry notes that bring real depth to every bite!

The judges awarded it 2 Stars, meaning they considered it an outstanding product. It also received a Class Win at the British Pie Awards this year - so we'll happily take that!

⭐ Chunk Gluten Free Steak & Haggis Pie

A limited edition from January that certainly got people talking!

A fearless fusion of tender steak, peppery haggis and a wee splash of whisky magic, all wrapped in our award-winning gluten free pastry.

If you missed it the first time... keep your eyes peeled. It might just make another appearance.

⭐ Chunk Gluten Free NEW Steak & Ale Pie

Another new pie, and another award!

This one's filled with melt-in-the-mouth British beef, slow cooked in Porter, a velvety West Country ale that creates a rich, flavour-packed gravy...

It's already picked up a British Pie Awards Bronze, a Taste of the West Silver, and now a Great Taste Award! Not a bad start, we’d say!

Whether it's Chunk Original or Chunk Gluten Free, the goal has always been the same: to make pies and pasties that taste absolutely awesome!

Seeing both bakeries recognised in the same year makes us incredibly proud of the whole team!!
